Heidi Marimberga
Founder & Executive Director 
Heidi Marimberga is the founder and driving force behind Heidi’s Kids, leading with compassion and a deep commitment to serving children in need. What began as a simple calling has grown into a nonprofit reaching thousands of students through school-based support.
As Executive Director, Heidi oversees daily operations, builds community partnerships, and works closely with schools to provide essential resources like food, clothing, and hygiene items. Her hands-on leadership and genuine heart for children shape every part of the organization, ensuring each child feels seen, supported, and valued.
Brittany Pennington
Executive AssistantBrittany serves as the Executive Assistant at Heidi’s Kids, bringing heart, hustle, and a “jack-of-all-trades” mindset to everything she does. Passionate about the mission, she plays a key role in keeping daily operations running smoothly—from coordinating events and managing communications to supporting leadership and driving behind-the-scenes strategy.
Known for keeping the train on the tracks, Brittany ensures that ideas turn into action and nothing falls through the cracks. Her dedication, creativity, and attention to detail help power the organization’s impact and keep everything moving forward with purpose.
Director of Programs & Hunger OutreachJason Wiggins
Jason Wiggins serves as the Director of Programs and Hunger Outreach at Heidi’s Kids, bringing decades of leadership and a lifelong commitment to serving the community. After more than 30 years as Chief of Police for the City of Irondale, Jason continued his mission of helping others by stepping into a role where he could make a direct impact on children and families in need.
He now leads key programs focused on food insecurity and outreach, working closely with schools and community partners. His passion for service, steady leadership, and deep roots in the community make him an invaluable part of the Heidi’s Kids mission.
School Liaison & Resource Room CoordinatorFaith Gardner
Faith Gardner serves as the School Liaison and Resource Room Coordinator for Heidi’s Kids, playing a vital role in supporting students across all partner schools. She works closely with school staff, regularly checking Resource Rooms, restocking supplies, and ensuring children receive what they need right when they need it.
Faith leads the coordination and distribution of clothing through community partnerships, often being the first to respond when a child needs shoes or clothes. She also faithfully volunteers her time packing Blessing Sacks each week.
A recipient of the 2025 Heart of Heidi’s Kids Award, Faith’s consistency, compassion, and servant heart make a lasting impact behind the scenes every single day.
